It was funny...they would be up to my car before I could get the bag out of the trunk. They love scratch feed, which is cracked corn. That's what we were told to feed them. We had about a hundred mallards when we lived on a lake (before our divorce) and those dear little things would come running if they saw me working in the yard! Yep, the crows need to eat, too! That's how I feel about squirrels....everyone complains about them getting their bird feeders, but I feel the same way you do and have said it many times, that they are God's little creatures and they get hungry, too. What a touching post this is!!! I absolutely LOVED it!!!!

(((((( HUGS ))))))Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11388218387599733572noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4727302034826359161.post-82481951267738819742008-11-22T17:02:00.000-08:002008-11-22T17:02:00.000-08:00did you knkow pigeons gross me out the door!did you knkow pigeons gross me out the door!LauraJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16407359466001401500noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4727302034826359161.post-11831904141724054442008-11-22T15:31:00.000-08:002008-11-22T15:31:00.000-08:00I love feeding wild birds like that...when Steve &...I love feeding wild birds like that...when Steve & I go to Niagara Falls, we always make sure we go on Dufferin Island to feed the ducks and geese there. We always buy a big bag of seeds and they go nuts, just like those pigeons you show in your pictures:-) xoxoCarole Buranthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05497329055251626140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4727302034826359161.post-85316327915394090092008-11-21T18:22:00.000-08:002008-11-21T18:22:00.000-08:00If I get a chance to spend a lunch hour or 2 with ...If I get a chance to spend a lunch hour or 2 with my boyfriend - we go to a park and feed squirrels and ducks. It's a nice way to spend the time. I know that pigeons are smart too, I used to fight with some that roosted over the tax office doorway. They usually won every battle. :-)Brendahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16299205162628367889noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4727302034826359161.post-109207845669261942008-11-21T16:45:00.000-08:002008-11-21T16:45:00.000-08:00I am seeing all the photos. An 18 pound bag! Does he do that everyday? He must be one sweet son, that one of yours. To be so nice to a bunch of birds. Somehow I just didn't visualize a man being sentimental like that towards them. Shows how much I get out and about!
BrendaBrenda Pruitthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14544794729410559072noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4727302034826359161.post-5635981791906642412008-11-21T15:09:00.000-08:002008-11-21T15:09:00.000-08:00that is so kind of you.
