I took a quick picture of our tree its not the nicest of pictures but I wanted to show you, and I wanted to tell you a funny story too that happened years ago when my daughter and I were decorating the tree together,I came home from work and I was dog tired and of course one look at my beautiful wonderful daughter's hopeful little face you find the energy to do what ever it is you need to get done... right ladies!
I was too tired to pick up an ornament and walk over to the tree so I was just kinda sat there adding the hooks to the ornaments, and I told her she could do it any way she wanted, she of course could not believe her ears as I have a system for decorating the tree its called ~~~~My way or no way!!!~~~ So to be given the allmighty green light was quite a thrill for her, she kept saying Mom are you sure you want ~~ME~~~ to do it?????
Remember now I was bone tired
I said ~~~~(((I want to be the hooker this year just a hooker !!!!!!! !!!)))~~~~~
Well we laughed and giggled ourselves silly over that one... dosen't take much when your that tired I guess to make a funny... LOL!!!
As you can see I have started wrapping but no bows just yet, .. I am slow this year I seem to be in slowmotion.....
I went shopping today and got most of what was on my list, I just need a few more stocking stuffers, my kids adore their stocking, just as much if not more than all the gifts combined. And it has to be in their childhood stocking no other will do plus they have to be hung from my old hutch no where else will do.... they are sentimental my two ((( I love them so)))
Worst than little kids I tell ya!!!!~~Wouldn't have it any other way!!!

I think that's a fabulous picture! I looked at it larger and it almost looks like a painting. How did you DO that? Awesome! Totally beautiful!
I think you've inspired me to put more ornaments on my tree. :)
It is gorgeous, Diane! I don't know how you've summoned the energy to get this so perfect-looking! You need to take a well-deserved break. After the holidays, please do something extra-special for yourself. I know! Come visit me and sit in the new room and look out at the pond from the new view. We'll have Starbucks coffee and chocolate and laugh like fools! I have the brand new guest room and bathroom. The shower and tub have never been used. You'd probably have to share the bedroom with Clyde. We'd make Nola finally come visit. I promise no snow! Fun!

You little hooker, you! haha, lmao! Brenda is right; treat yourself to a trip south; I've been trying to get over there to see her, but something keeps coming up! Your tree is so pretty, did you do something special to the photo, it looks magical!
Your tree is beautiful!
Love the hooker story....gotta have some laughs to lighten a busy day.
How sweet of you to let her do the tree! I'm sure she's never forgotten it. It's beautiful this year!
Hehe, what a cute story. Your tree is beautiful, so full of color. I have sweet memories of decorating our tree with my mother too. Once she even let me stay home from school just to do it.
Your tree is absolutely beautiful! Did you crochet the snowflakes I see in it? Love them!!
I so enjoyed reading the story of the year you let your daughter decorate the tree...you wanted to be the hooker eh? hehe
When I brought my mom shopping yesterday I was able to finish my own shopping...got the rest of the stocking stuffers I needed. Now that I pretty much have everything ready for Christmas, I can enjoy the days leading to it:-) xoxo
Your tree looks just beautiful and the story of the "hooker" is just too funny. Thanks for the morning giggle.
Glad that we still have another week and a half to finish things up. I need it.
Oh my gosh, what an absolutely beautiful tree! I'm so envious! I feel like I'm moving in slow motion this year as well, which isn't good since my Christmas needs to be ready by the 18th! eek!
I'm a first time visitor to your blog. Your tree looks so pretty, and I loved your story about being the hooker! I noticed you had commented on Kady's post (Life on Bonnie Lane). Her son has posted an update asking for b'day wishes for his mother, and since nobody had left a message yet, I was just trying to contact some of her readers. laurie
Your tree is lovely, and what a wonderful moment to share with your daughter and remember over the years. Thank you for stopping by. I will think of you later today too...Iva
Found your blog while clicking around. Your tree is beautiful.

I am almost done with my shopping but need to wrap everything yet! And bake, too! I like to do things at the tail end....makes me get in the spirit even more!
Wishing you and yours a wonderful holiday season!
(((((( HUGS ))))))

I love it for Christmas time so pretty..Have fun ~~

Hey Diane! Gee, if you are in slow motion, I'd hate to be around when you speed up!!!! Your tree looks gorgeous!!!! Just beautiful.
Ours is still undecorated. I started to 'trim' away the wilder branches and outcroppings last night. Hopefully it will all get done tomorrow.
Meanwhile, there you are with dozens of meat pies, a gorgeous tree and even presents partly wrapped!!!!! Do you have ANY idea how organized and efficient and creative you are??? On top of being just one heck of a gal...
Love, Leigh
