So many of you showing your beautiful flowers and I am so envious!! I live very north in Canada and flowers have to be bought at a nursery if you want them in your garden , our growing season is so short, one dear lady was showing pomegranate tree blooms in her yard on her post, wow, to me that is so exotic,if I see an apple tree in bloom up here I get all giddy........ no kidding!
So to one and all I am proud to announce the lilacs are in bloom and these are from the corner of my front yard........TADA!!!!!!!!
And I might add this year they are very aromatic!!

My drinks are far from virgin! HA!
Lilacs are a flower of my youth...I remember being 7-8-9 years old and playing with friends and stopping to smell these by the big laundry mat not far from where we lived, in a big trailer park.

Btw, today I posted an entry, for which you inspired one section. :-) When I told you that my husband was making a totem pole for a friend, you asked to see photos of it, in progress. Today you can, by clicking above and scrolling down in my entry. :-)

They are gorgeous. I live in East Texas, where most everything grows. But I haven't been able to get my hydrangeas to bloom yet. Of course, it's only been planted less than a year...

I surely wish that we could grow lilacs like that around here. Our pomegrnate trees are nothing compared to the delightful smell of the lilacs. Please take a deep smell for me.
Diane,
I *love* the scent of lilacs but my dear husband is allergic to them so I have to enjoy them from afar :o)
Thanks for sharing photos of yours and thanks for visiting my blog!
I once had my master bedroom painted a color called "Lilac Time"!
