I just love vintage advertising and I just wanted to show you a few that I have in my collection.
Arent they adorable !!
I remember my mother buying margarine that had to be squizzed and massaged in a very heavy clear bag I think it was Blue Bonnet brand. It had a red dot of food color that had to be mixed in.Do any of you remember that?.............Oh please someone tell me you do!!!~~~~~~~~~~ So I dont feel alone with memories like that!!! ( Someone ... anyone???)
Look at that fridge from 1921 ,wow that must have been very special to have one like that. And that range from 1938 selling for $94.50, I remember my Grandmother had one like that.I have one similar in our playroom, that we bought some 40 years ago for $25.00, and it works just fine and is in super condition too.
Do you love the cotton dresses?? Arent they adorable !! Too bad we cant get away with dressing like that anymore,it was so colorful.
And the Jello who dosent like Jello!!! My Grandma use to make the best salad with celery and peas and carrots in lime jello, do you remember that?? (((Please say you do)))
I dont make Jello dessert often but we all still enjoy it sometimes.Everyone has a favourite so I end up making several flavors in individual containers.
Well I think all of you ladies are the ~~~~~~~((((Bees Knees))))) for coming to visit my blog, and leaving me sweet comments.Thank you very much in advance!!
Have a good weekend everyone!!

Like you, I just love these old advertisements...I've even gone on YouTube often to search for the old tv commercials, always get such a kick out of them! I don't remember the margarine you had to squeeze but my gran made jello with different veggies in it:-) Have a wonderful weekend dear friend! xoxo
I love them! i would like to have a real one of the stove. I think it is so awesome! LOL!
I too love vintage advertising.
Love place to visit.

I don't like Jello. I don't remember squeezable margarine! I've cooked on a stove like that in an old cabin near a lake. I love antiques and old things!!
Have a wonderful weekend!!
I love the vintage advertisements as well! You have a nice collection. I am sorry to say, I dont remember the squeeze margarine that you had to add the food coloring too. I love vintage kitchen stuff! I'm always looking at garage sales for old kitchen items.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog today and leaving such a nice comment!
I just love vintage advertising. I have an old 1910 needlework magazine in mint condition and I LOVE looking at all the old ads. It's so quaint.
Thanks for showing those quaint ads they're so much fun!

Diane,
I enjoy vintage advertising as well but sorry to say, I don't remember margarine you had to squeeze :o)
I was never fond of jello salads for some reason ... maybe I just never had the right one!
Have a great weekend!

I sure do hate to leave you hanging there all alone about the squeezy margerine, but I don't remember that.
I can help you with the jello though. I had an aunt that use the carrots in hers. My mother always put bananas or fruit cocktail in hers. To this day I love jello. It is one of my comfort foods when I don't feel well.
Hope yopu are having a good weekend.
Hi Diane

This is a lot of fun. I love those vintage advertisements! I remember jello with fruit in it, but not vegetables. These advertisements remind me that we had a milkman who delivered the milk in glass bottles when I was a kid.
Diane, I think you are the cat's pajamas!
Diane, I love your vintage ads. they are so cute & adorable. xoxo, Joanna

Loved seeing all your vintage ads!
I remember my Mom talking about white oleo (margarine) during the war years and how no one liked it because of the color. Mom often made a lime jello salad with celery, carrots, and pineapple. I haven't made that in years..
hugs
We used to argue over whose turn it was to squeeze the margarine bag - yup, I remember. Thanks for posting these -
I collect vintage advertisements as well...I love yours! I am trying to cover my kitchen walls with vintage advertising and signs...I have some old Aunt Jemima ads that need to be framed and hung...I think it's an addiction!
