My New Old Friend !!!

When I was 5 years old I had a childhood best friend her name was Jaqueline, they lived just a few houses away from ours .
That little girl and I had so much fun, we had tea parties and we played skipping rope and played ball, went for bike rides, her mother made pigs in a blanket for snacks.
Her family came from England, they lived in Canada for a few years then they moved back to England I never saw her again.
Being so young I missed my friend but life went on for me ... like school and other friends ..later in life getting married and having my own children.
But I never forgot her and always wondered about my little friend Jaqueline,where was she now? was she married? did she have children?where did she work?who her friends were? was she happy?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Then the miracle of Facebook !!!
Just for fun I decided to type in her name, low and behold there were a few women with her name,I wrote a short note to them asking if they ever lived in my town and explained who I was.
A week later I got a note from Jackie my new old friend Jaqueline !!!!!!!
She totally remembered me !!
She wondered about me all these years as well !!!
She told her daughter stories about our childhood together in Canada.
Out of the 60 odd million people who live in the UK I actually found my friend !!
I am so happy I can hardly stand it ! She on her end is estatic as well.
No we are learning about each other all over again.
Life is grand !
What a great story! I'm always amazed at these kinds of connections via the internet. It sure has it drawbacks, but the has surely been opened to us!
Technology is amazing! I am so glad you reconnected. I recently found some old friends through a fellow blogger. Where would we be without the technology?????
I love the precious picture of the little girls!
I'm with you, I love F/B for re-connecting and connecting with people.
I thought F/B was silly at first, but I've eaten my words..... I love it now. I'm happy for you, that you've made a reconnection..... I've done the same with some friends and relatives.
Hugs,
What a true blessing to find your friend. So happy for you and her.
Isn't this world of ours so much smaller with the internet.
Look at how many friends we have found from our blogs. Truly a blessing.
Now enjoy your old new friend
I'm so happy for you!! It's wonderful to connect with our old friends. I had a neighbor named Jackie too and we played together quite a lot when we were around five, but one day I saw her drink water from a ditch and I didn't want to play with her anymore.
Such a fun thing to happen! There will always be some people in our lives we lose track of and wonder about. It's rare we ever find out what happened to them. But it's the internet! It makes tons of things possible!
What a beautiful story! I have often thought of the girl who lived across the street from me when we were kids. I haven't found her. You are so lucky!
Hugs,
Lois
Without these household equipments its hard to think of a complete house these days. If your dryer's timer stops working, you only need to replace the timer motor rather than the whole thing. Ceramic water filter with silver is more efficient as they are capable of killing or incapacitating bacteria thata normal ceramic filter cannot. Lock washers and correct usage of them can be very important, in that, they keep whatever they're supposed to keep locked together, locked together.
