Hello Ladies !!

I have been gone so long I nearly forgot how to cook hahaha!!
I spent 3 weeks in Ottawa with my daughter ,came home for a few days and now I am going back on Saturday.In between all that I went to Montreal for a Santana concert, that man can sure put on a good show,wow and his band of musicians are just amaizing, well worth the trip there to see him,we went by train this time my daughter and my hubby and I,what a treat to go by train we went first class, the food is unbelievable so is the service,top notch, and very very relaxing, who needs all that driving right!!

The only thing I have been working on is the afghan for my daughter,I can't seem to settle on any one thing these days,my daughter did show me how to do peyote stitch with beads, I really enjoyed that, and I have started to make myself a bracelet,very pretty ,while I was there,I made myself a few bracelets with semi precious stones,I even made my dear sister in law a few bracelets, she loves jewelry as much as I do,and I know her tastes so its no problem.

I had a birthday while I was gone, and for my birthday my son gave me a new camera !! Yipee!! Its a HP Power Shot SX100IS,wow it can do really beautiful pics!! I want to post so many and I will I just need a bit of time ,please forgive me for being so slow.

When I get back from this little trip I will settle down to a better routine I promise.

On Saturday I am leaving for Ottawa to visit my daughter I will be gone a few weeks,then I am going to Montreal with my hubby to see a Santana Concert yipeeeeee!!!

Spring !!!

How I wish it were spring, this far North we wont see lilacs till at least June.I am dreaming of green grass,sun warmed skin and a gentle warm breeze, the smell of sun block and Timmy coffee in my hand sitting at a picnic table at Gilles Lake watching the kids feed the ducks......Ha how's that for dreaming !

Mom's Painting

My Latest Project

This is my latest project, still in the works as you can see I must add 2 more rows of squares, then do a border,I started this when I sprained my ankle in the fall, I had no choice I could not move from my bed and I had all this wonderful wool intending to start this project, but like everyone else I procrastinate a lot ,and seriously needed to keep my fingers busy in bed ,I added quite a few too when Mom was in the hospital and I needed to stay beside her night and day.
This one is for my sweet Kelly ,she is my sunshine, the next one is for my son Jason,I am not sure if I should go white /grey /black for him or white/light blue/dark blue.... I will figure it out when I see the wool .I hope I remember how much wool I needed for this one.... I sorta guessed at the amount ...I have lots to do a nice border too in the rose color and beige.Each square took me about 3/4 hour.I am doing 12x12 rows. What do you think?? Is it pretty?? My husband thinks I am wonderfully talented, I love it when he says that to me, what a sweety !!

This is a picture of some eggs I have done in the past,I love love love to write the eggs, I have been so lucky in getting goose eggs and turkey eggs ,ostrich(12) and emu eggs too,lucky lucky me!!
