I Wish The Blog Had Smell A Vision !!

Were going to make something together , can you guess what???

Get some nice juicy apples, mine were hand picked in Ottawa at a farmer's market, they are Spartan Apples !

Take the peel off the apples and slice them thinly 1/4 inch thick. I added some brown sugar and cinnamon.

Now I added some little thin pieces of butter here and there over the apples.

Now your going to make the topping, you need oatmeal, brown sugar, cinnamon,a little flour and I added flax seeds because I had them handy, mix this all up and add butter to the mix.Blend well

Spread all that goodness over the apples , put in the oven until golden and fork tender

CAN YOU SMELL THAT ?????
YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM !!!

Ok now you get to taste it with vanilla ice cream.Sure wish you could join me the smell is as good as the taste!!

You just made easy peasy Apple Crisp !!!

Email me some! haha, I wish! I've never seen Spartan apples, what would be a good substitute? That looks delish and way easier than pie (I just can't do a decent crust). It would go well with my chili for supper.

Very similar to a baked apples recipe I make, with whole apples. I think I like your recipe better - no apple skin! Yum!!!

Hi Dianne, I had to stop bye and let you know I received my gift today. I love it. It is so very pretty and delicate. Thank you so very much.

I think a bit of that aroma is wafting Texas' way! Or at least conjured in my fertile mind. Flax seed is supposed to be so good for you. I wouldn't have thought of that. You and Nola put me to shame.

That sure looks yummy! And yes I could smell it too. Isn't the imagination a wonderful thing?
I had fresh baked apple pie today with a glass of cold milk. Too good and too rich for my tummy but it was worth it.

Looks good! I made a pear crisp the other day. (I have lots of pears) I admit, I like apple crisp better, but my apples didn't do very good this year. Oh, and blackberry crisp is very good, too. I have lots of blackberries. My recipe for the blackberry crisp is on my website.
