A Ride in the Country on the ATV

My boys have been going in the bush all week long, they went to my brother's camp for several days, and on Sunday they decided~~~ I~~~ needed some air , so we went to a place called GroundHog River, its an amaizing place that has gorgeous falls, the last time I went there was 20 years ago.
I swore I would never return because the BUGS were not to be believed, it was incredible they were in our eyes and ears and mouth,I grabbed my daughter who was 10 at the time and waited in the car for the boys to finish their fishing.I can't stand bugs and for some reason they love me and seek me out in the bush, does this happen to you??
BUT on Sunday there were no flies not even one..... it was too damn cold!!! ...LOL!!!
Here are a few pictures of our day,I really enjoyed the fresh cool crisp air , it smells wonderful in the bush at this time of year.Gave me rosy red cheeks, and an appetite I could not wait to go out for supper that day, but we eat so late it was almost 9pm by the time we sat down at a restaurant.
Nothing like fresh air and gorgeous scenery to give you inner piece and calm.

Here is me waiting for my turn on the ATV to go to the falls, the little trail was really muddy and I didn't wear boots,I don't own boots I only wore my runners,my boys notices and I got heck!!! Geeeeeezzzzzzzzz!
((Boots dont make a fashion statement eh girls! But wearing orange does....LOL!!
In Canada it is the law in hunting season you must wear 400 square inches of orange when you are in the bush.))

Look at these falls isin't this spectacular!!!

So that is a little taste of my ride in the Northern Country !!

I can't stand bugs either, and they seem to sense my fear! My husband used to say, "Don't be silly. They can't hurt you."
I'd answer, "Yes they can hurt me. They can give me a heart attack."

Beautiful falls, though.

I'd go for a ride in the bush for a view like that! Wow! And you look mighty fine all dressed in orange!

That close-up photo of you is a good one, Diane. I like the smile you have in that shot. You're all bundled up, and I'm wearing shorts! But most people around here are probably dressed a little more warmly. I just don't feel the cold as I'm moving around all the time! Gotta get out and cast my early vote today!

Hello dear Diane:-)

I'm back from my trip and now catching up with everyone. I hate bugs as well and I think that's one of the reasons why I love this time of year so much...it's too cold for them to be out! lol Sounds like you had a wonderful day...as you say, nothing like fresh air and beautiful scenery:-) Those falls are fabulous! xoxo

Hey you're rockin' that orange and don't let anybody tell you different!

Yeah that fresh air thing - makes you so tired - that good kind of tired - by the end of the day.

Glad you had a great time!

Diane, what a beautiful fishing spot. Bugs bug me too. I can't go out in our own garden during the month of May because the Mayflies bite me horribly. The bites swell and hurt especially bad if they are on my head. I love being outside too...but....! That's why fall is the BEST!

Beautiful country! I love the outdoors and I'd have been fishing too, bugs or no bugs.

Thanks for helping me celebrate my birthday. It's friends like you that make this a special day.

Hope you're having a great day!

Love and big hugs,

I know what you mean about the bugs when you are out in nature. I've even had them get in my eyes.

The falls are beautiful. Glad you were able to enjoy your outing.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a lovely comment.
