I have been doing some crochet

Not the greatest photo I ever took, its tungsten light and we all know how awful that is so the colors are not true, to be honest I forgot how to set my white balance on the camera.... duh....
but you get the idea of what I am doing, and no the granny squares are not in order that I will do in the finished afghan,I will add a cream color in between like the color on the edge of each square. Its fun and relaxing and mindless work..... I need mindless right now to keep my mind busy, and this works !

Very pretty! A Granny-ghan is one of the most comfortable "ghans" anyone can love. :)

Don't you love those 'Granny Square Afghans'?I think we all have at least one.Ahhh, yes, mowing the grass is mindless work for me. I seem to forget all my worries when I'm mowing. And after I'm done,it is so relaxing to sit back in a nice comfortable chair, with my feet up, sipping on a big glass of ice tea, and enjoy seeing it all nice and neat.

Oh Diane, looking at the granny squares brings back such happy memories from my childhood. My mother made a granny square afghan when she was expecting me.... I grew up with it. I suppose we washed it to death, it's no longer around.

I love what you're doing, and all the beautiful colors. You're spending your time in a productive way....

Diane, I just love your afghan, so colorful...it reminds me of a stained glass window.

Oh, that is the sweetest birdhouse and how fun to have a little cat inside, too cute. I know Annie will treasure it. You sure fun wonderful goodies on your weekend fleaing. The dairy items are so cool and the strawberry glasses are great. Have a happy day....hugs, Linda

I still haven't learned how to use my white balance... I just try to fix it in editing afterward. Whatever the color is in your afgan, it looks cozy and cute!

I need to learn to do that. A small square at a time, must feel like a bunch of small accomplishments until you put it all together and it's a big one! Nice!
