Thanking you All ! !

I want to thank all of you wonderful ladies who took time to give me sympathy and support at this time.
It certainly has not been easy for me since Mom died in December, its a long road leading to today, I want to tell you that my mother was a real character who loved having fun and loved laughter, her idea of a good time was going to the Casino for an evening, having a few drinks, she did not dwell on the negatives in life and always saw the glass half full,~~~~~~~~~ and made lemonade with it !!
My mother would not want me to sit on my pity-pot too long as she would say, pull up your big girl panties and get on with living.!!!

So here's to you Mom I will continue living and try to enjoy every minute of it like you did, with laughter and fun.I can only hope to have half as much fun as she did and I would say I am living ok.!
Those of you with Mothers , love your Mom , tell her everyday how much she means to you, someday you will only have a memory , and if your as lucky as me you will still hear her voice telling you to stop crying and have some fun dammit !!!

Diane,
You are right, you can best honor your mother's memory by living well. When I do things, I try to do the right things, hoping it's a reflection of the upbringing my mom gave me and the values she instilled in me.
So think of her, and know she's up there smiling down on you saying "You go girl!"

Well, you know I can commiserate, but not know exactly. That's okay. Your sentiments tell us your mother was very special, had fun in life, and found every day precious. I only hope my daughters will say the same some day. Don't kick yourself when you grieve, though. It's a natural process, and if you don't do it now, you'll only have to do it later.
Hugs, Brenda

Yeah, my Mom is 80 this year - but she doesn't live close so I don't see her often. Sounds like you and your Mom were really close. I'm sorry for your loss.
I did want to ask though - how did you get your hands on my panties????

Hi Diane!
I love those old photos of your mom, what a beauty she was! And you KNOW she's telling you those things don't you? So pull 'em up girlfriend! And the Lord put his arms around you and hug you just like you need right now. Big hugs sweetie! Sherry

Hi Diane,
I've been on a brief break and am just catching up on your news. I can truly understand how much you miss your Mom. Her smile is so beautiful :)
Tears are never a bad thing, just look for a bit of joy in each day too!
hugs!!

I would have loved your Mom's attitude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Methinks you get a bit of time to wallow in self-pity, because she's gone. Everyone needs closure and we each get it, in our own way.

But then... Yes, listen to her words in your heart. She'd not want you to waste one precious day or hour, in feeling low, because she was gone.

She taught you well. She'd want you to follow her teaching, as the best living memorial to her. Betcha'.

Gentle hugs,
Miss Mari-Nanci

Your mom was very wise...now all we have to do is follow what they are telling us. I'm still trying to do this. Hugs, Linda
