In my house were trying so hard to be good with how we eat,its not easy sometimes and old habits die hard. And of course we all have a sweet tooth!!

I use to bake something almost every day, but my sweet darling better half, had a heart attack last October and since then ,I have changes all our eating habits.
I am trying to make very good for you food.........Know what I mean?? Our favourite saying is if it dosen't have the healthy check mark ,dont buy it!

The love of my life buys only good for you food and he loves to do the grocery shopping, today he came home with ONTARIO STRAWBERRY"S~~~~~ Oh Me Oh My!!!
Yummooooo !!! And it was just in time for breakfast too, so we loaded up our porridge with the sweet treat.
Dosen't that look good enough to eat !!!!!!

excuse me for drooling all over your blog....lol That sure does look good enough to eat.

As for eating healthy, I always have said if it tastes really really good... then spit it out, it can't be good for you.

Have you noticed though that the food in the store with "LESS" sugar with "LESS" fat and so on done the line cost "MORE". I am thinking that is what they mean when they say "Less is More".

Have a great week.

Hello Diane. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. It's always fun to meet new friends.
Your breakfast looks scrumptious! YUM!
I have a little strawberry patch in the back yard and have been picking someripe ones every few days. They are so sweet and juicy and very flavorful.

I try to eat healthy too, but as you say the sweet tooth sure makes it difficult!

I want to mention that some of my ancestors lived in Ontario. They were Fitzpatrick's, McNeil's, McKay's, Cryderman's and Casselman's. I found them in old in census records in VanKleek and Cornwall and some surrounding areas.
You never know, we might be related!
Wouldn't that be fun?

I hope you are having a wonderful week.

Oh my. I am afraid I'm a terrible eater. My 22 year old daughter is a vegetarian and is always bringing healthy food in the house. And I'm always saying - I swear I didn't raise her that way!

I've been really, really trying to eat and cook healthier here, too. I've switched to whole grain pastas, which actually taste pretty much like the regular kinds of pasta, we eat salad with dinner almost every night, I have either Special K cereal or nutra-grain waffles for breakfast in the morning...it's kind of hard to change everything, though, you know it? I'm constantly amazed at just exactly how much JUNK I've grown accustomed to eating. I'm a terrible snacker...I'll eat all day long if I don't stop myself. I've switched to the 94% fat free Orville Redenbacher mini bags of popcorn to help me get filled up with fewer calories. So far, so good, too. I've lost over 10 pounds in about 2 months - and I was able to NOT gain it all back when we were on vacation. lol (I have to keep telling myself that food is not my friend, my buddy or my pal. Food is fuel for my body. That mantra works pretty well, until I'm faced with an almond toffee bar from Starbucks or a hot fudge sundae from anywhere. lol)

Oh yummmmm...nothing I love more than strawberries and bananas together! I need to start eating healthier as well but as you say, it's soooo hard to stop the bad eating habits. Sigh.

How I love the treasures you found at yard sales in your previous post. I'm going to another Estate Auction tomorrow evening so hopefully I'll come home with a few "new" treasures as well:-) xoxo

I love starwberries and these look so yummy. Sometimes and have whole wheat toast with sliced strawberries on top...it's good too.

I love all the treasures you shared in your previous post. Yard sales are so fun and you found some neat things. I had no idea the stiching on my apron was called chicken scratch..how cute is that.

Have a happy day...hugs, Linda

Yes, that looks deeeeeeeeelicious and good for you and all sorts of good stuffffff. So wonderful when good for us, is yummy too. :-)

We watch our cholesterol and all that stuff too. And so I bake with canola oil instead of butter and stuff like that. When I bake! Used to, a lot more than now.

Plus, I was recently tested and found I am lactose intolerant. So that throws another 'iron in the fire.' -grin- {But I like soy milk on cereal and soy creamer in decaf.}

And truly, my quality of life is so much better, since a doc ordered the lactose intolerance test for me and I KNOW, what I suspected for a long time!!!! Oh wow, how weird life has been, without this sure knowledge, for years. Yishhhhhhhh...

So sure, there are lots of things I can't eat now. Yes, but a great change for the better, in my quality of life, is worth it! :-)
