Gambling Weekend!!

Did you ever get an urge on the spur of the moment?? And actually did what ever it is you had an urge to do??? Is it ever a lot of fun!!!!!!!!

On Friday we were discussing what we should do over the weekend, and the unanimous decision was to go to Sudbury , hit the casino and go shopping ,do Costco last before we left etc...so we packed an over night bag and I made reservations at a hotel, and......... away we went,Sudbury is not terribly far from us its about 3 and a half hours by car, we live so far North , nothing is close to us..........sigh...............

At the hotel they had a promotion for the Casino, since we had planned to go anyway it was great, they gave us each $15.00 to play, and all sorts of special entries in draws to be held, and on our way out they gave us each a gift , they gave me a pink over night bag, its really cute ,and the boys each got some tools in a canvas bag, we couldn't believe it!
****** Best of all we all won some money!!! My hubby was the big winner$ 500.00, I won $100.00, and my son won $6.00, a win is Casino money you LEAVE WITH !!

We did some shopping and drove around Sudbury, and had a few great meals, then drove home. The car was full of goodies from shopping and our pockets were still nicely lined with our winnings,it was a wonderful weekend!!!!

Today we will either go to the shooting range and get some practice in or we will go on the ATV,what ever we do it will be low key.

Our Labour Day weekend has been fun so far !

I've never gambled; it's just never appealed to me, but it does sound as if you're having a good weekend.

Ummmm Diane? Did you know you were only 5 minutes away from me? lol Sudbury Downs is just a few minutes away from me and depending which way you came in from, you had to pass my street to get to it! Next time, contact me so we can meet!!!! Gosh, I can't believe you were so near this weekend!!! While you were at Costco, I was probably at Home Sense which is just around the curve from there. I'm glad you won some money at the casino, that's the fun part:-) xoxo

you must live close to ds, he lives in North Bay.........I would love to move up there, but dh is not keen, as you get a lot of snow. Ds even showed us where dh could get a job: http://www.gfp-inc.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=35&Itemid=46 Ds will eventually be moving back down here as his girlfriend is in University in Toronto and we all live in the area.

By the way we suck at gambling, it stresses me out seeing all that money disappearing..LOL

Gill

By the way I answered your question on my blog.

woo hoo! Sounds like it was a blast. We don't have too many fun things over here (it's the Northern Main/western NB area)but we may go find some fun next weekend since it's our anniversary... I'm sure we can find SOMETHING! :)

Hi! Congrats on your winnings! I just donate to the casinos when I go and it makes me physically ill! So, I don't make it too often. Your tutorials are great--I know they are a big help to lots of readers. Thank you for leaving a comment on my post--now I have met you, too! Dana

Wow! Congratulations on your $$$$. The most I have ever won in my life is $50. Maybe that's why I do not play much. Sure sounds like you had a great weekend.
Hugs,
Mo :-)
